CJS Technology is a development house specialising in smartcard related hardware, software and consultancy.  Our wide-ranging and detailed experience of the smartcard industry extends from consultancy in feasibility studies to bit manipulation of smartcard communications protocols; from the design of smartcard databases to transaction clearing. Our product range is born out of past projects and can be used off-the shelf or as the starting point for a unique solution.

CJST personnel have been behind the technology of a number of UK smartcard schemes, including the Bracknell Edge Card, various Hertfordshire cards, ITSO and SWWITCH. We have provided the infrastructure for cardholder databases, clearing and settlement and card production systems.

We are actively involved with the ITSO organisation, acting as consultants and as independant ITSO developers. We have worked with Mifare, Type A, Type B, Innovision, Motorola MV5000 and JCOPS cards. Our chairman, Chris Stanford is an internationally recognised senior figure in the smartcard industry.
